Bernardaud in the palace
Designed by the Former Royal Factory, the Rose Garden service is a reproduction of the same decor initially executed by the Manufacture de Clignancourt in the late 18th century. The original is now in the Musée de Montmartre in Paris. It testifies to the richness of the decorations of the Parisian porcelain of late 18th century. At the end of the 18th century naturalist influences designers: twigs and seedlings cut flowers arise on objects.

Queen Marie-Antoinette's service was delivered to the Versailles palace on the 2nd of January in 1782 by the Royal Sevres manufactory. Its gracious "Comte d'Artois" shape, enhanced by its "pearl and cornflower" decoration, is enchanting in its delicate simplicity, its decoration placement seemingly improvised.
